MM2作为紧张游戏的认可不够。想象一下,其他人都倒下了,只剩我和凶手,警长早早掉了,所以没有枪来救我。我是个无辜者,没有武器,只有气场和地图知识。我在大宅里穿梭,偷工减料,听着脚步声,因为你能听到他们靠近。每次转角我都会做好刀子的准备。凶手现在在戏弄我,走得很慢,让我以为甩掉他们,然后从柱子后面冒出来。我晃过一挥,冲向通风口,倒计时器多活了两秒。没有尖叫,没有惊吓,但我的心跳比大多数真实恐怖游戏都要快。社交推理加上一个玩弄食物的猎人,当大厅安静下来时,这组合真的非常吓人。

mm2 does not get enough credit as a tension game. picture it, everyone else is down, it is me and the murderer left, and the sheriff already got taken out early so no gun is coming to save me. im an innocent with zero weapons, just vibes and map knowledge. im weaving through the mansion, cutting corners, listening for footsteps because you can HEAR them getting close. every time i round a corner i brace for the knife. the murderer is toying with me now, walking slow, letting me think i lost them, then popping out from behind a pillar. i juke one swing, sprint for the vent, and survive the round timer by like two seconds. no scream, no jumpscare, but my heart was pounding harder than in most real horror games. social deduction plus a hunter that plays with its food is a genuinely scary combo when the lobby goes quiet.

mm2 has always been a tension game hiding inside a party game. that final standoff with the murderer is the whole reason it stuck around this long.

this is exactly why mm2 outlasts flashier horror games. its not scary because of gore, its scary because of information, you know one fact, someone in this room wants you dead, and you have to act normal. the dread of being watched by a person instead of a monster is a different flavor of horror and mm2 stumbles into it perfectly. lovely tense little writeup

mm2 gets written off as a knife trading sim but that last-innocent tension is the real product and always was. its practically an institution now. ive been watching it outlive trend after trend since the early days.
