mm2 is a comfort game for me and always will be. three roles, one round, everybody trying to read everybody else. the social deduction part never got old, sitting in a server guessing who the murderer is off one weird movement pattern. yeah the whole knife trading side eventually took over and half the lobby cares more about godlies and ancients than the actual game now. i had my ancient too, i get it. but underneath all the cosmetics its still the same tense little round it always was. a comfort 5, mostly for the memories, partly because it genuinely still works.

not a horror game on paper but being the last innocent with a murderer loose is more tense than half the actual scary games out there. youre just running, watching who has a knife out, trying to clock who is acting sus while you pray the sheriff doesnt miss. the knife trading and godly collecting is a whole side game i got sucked into. downside is the rounds start blurring after a while, same maps on loop and the role rng can leave you innocent ten times straight. still, that moment when it feels like the lights dim and someone walks at you slow is chefs kiss. solid 4.
most underrated trading game on the platform. godlies and ancients actually hold value because supply is controlled, unlike adopt me where one duper can tank a whole tier overnight. clean trade window too, you see both sides locked in, no shady add it later nonsense. honestly i log in for the market more than the innocent/sheriff/murderer rounds. easy 5 from a trader.
carried by nostalgia. the whole game is decided by rng. you get murderer once every ten rounds, the other nine youre running from campers or getting sniped across the map by a sheriff. no consistent skill expression at all. the knife trading is the only reason people still grind it, not the gameplay. 2.
this game hasnt meaningfully changed in about a decade and somehow thats almost a compliment. the innocent/sheriff/murderer loop is a coinflip half the time, you die round one holding no role and just spectate. but the social deduction genuinely works when a lobby actually commits, and honestly the whole thing is kept alive by the knife trading economy more than the rounds themselves. 3. its aged furniture, but its comfortable aged furniture.
mm2 is a classic and i respect it, but its not a grind game so it doesnt fully hook me. the innocent/sheriff/murderer rounds are fun in bursts and the godly knife trading runs deep if youre into it. problem is its mostly luck of the round, you get murderer maybe once every ten games. solid 3, id play it to chill not to grind.

mm2 is nostalgia and knife trading, not a skill game, lets be honest. youre innocent 9 rounds out of 10 just running from a murderer, and when you finally get it its point and click. half the sheriffs camp a corner and pre aim the doorway. theres barely any mechanical skill to express here, its round rng and map knowledge. the trading is what keeps it alive. 2, respect the classic but it aint it for a tryhard.

mm2 is one of the honest ones so it actually earns a 3 from me. the core game, innocent vs sheriff vs murderer, is completely free and does not care how much youve spent, you can play a thousand rounds without dropping a cent. where it slips is the knife economy, godlies and cosmetics run the whole community and thats mostly trade or buy, plus the gun and radio gamepasses hand paying players a real round to round edge. so not totally clean. but next to the pet gacha games this is practically a charity. free, and actually playable free. thats way rarer than it should be.
i know this is basically a trading institution now and people treat their godly knives like a stock portfolio. and sure, the economy has kept it breathing for a decade. but if i'm rating the actual GAME and not the marketplace — it's thin. run around, guess who the murderer is, maybe get knifed while doing nothing. the dupe drama over the years didn't do the trust any favors either. it survives on nostalgia and knife values more than on gameplay. a 3 for sheer longevity, but the trend-chasers overrate the game underneath it.
mm2 walked so every other trading game could run. godlys, ancients, chromas, the whole tier ladder is baked into everyones brain by now and a clean elderwood or nik always has a buyer. the issue is dupes. a couple big dupe waves and some of the old chromas just bled value and never fully came back, so you gotta actually know whats clean before you accept a window. most liquid knife market on the platform though, someone always wants to deal. losing a star for the trust tax but the scene is very much alive.
mm2 is the most STABLE market on the platform and stability is everything if you actually trade. godlies and ancients hold because supply is locked, theres no dupe glitch flooding the tier every other week like other games i could name. the trade window is clean too, both sides lock in, you see exactly whats on the table, no adding stuff last second while you hit accept. i log in for the market way more than the innocent sheriff murderer rounds tbh. if you want a first game to learn trading on, its this one. 5.
one of the true classics. the innocent, sheriff, murderer loop is so simple but ive been coming back to it for years and it still gets my heart racing when im the last innocent standing. the knife trading scene is wild now, godlies and ancients everywhere. only tiny thing is ill always miss a couple of the old maps, but they kept the soul of it fully intact. still a W in my book.
came back for the nostalgia and mm2 delivered instantly, still that lovely heart-pounding round of whos the murderer, the sheriff trying not to shoot the wrong person, classic and timeless. opened my old inventory and got hit with a wave of memories, all my little knives right where i left them. the trading values have moved on a lot and i decided to just have fun relearning them instead of stressing. such a warm easy game to drop back into with friends. missed this one so much
blue chip trading. mm2 has run a value economy longer than most games have existed. godly tier, ancient tier, chroma on top, and the value lists everyone actually follows. retired event knives like the old ghost and corrupt just keep appreciating because supply is frozen forever. i came up from a common to a chroma by never overpaying and always trading up on downgrades. the murderer round is almost secondary, im here for the knife market. know your values and you eat. a real economy with a game attached
ill be the grumpy old man here. mm2 USED to be a tense little social deduction round, three roles, everybody reading everybody, and it was great. then the knife trading took over and now half the lobby cares more about godly and ancient values than actually playing the round. i had my godlies too, i get it, but the cosmetic economy kind of buried the game underneath it. still works if you tune all that out, but its a 3 because the thing i loved is now the side attraction.
Superleuk, 5 sterren.
MM2 never gets old, fair play to it. Ye never know if you'll be the innocent leggin' it, the sheriff with the gun, or the murderer sneakin' about with the knife. The tension when there's a killer loose and everyone's runnin' scared is mighty craic. Simple oul' game but I keep comin' back to it. Deadly stuff, 5 stars.
