logged back in after 3 years and everything is a gacha

i still had the app installed from way back so i figured why not. loading screen looked different, ok. logged in and my old pets were still there, the ones i actually grinded tasks for, and for a second it felt great. then i opened the shop. premium eggs. robux everywhere. a whole gacha wall where i just remembered buying eggs with bucks. i tried to trade like the old days and three people instantly threw scam offers at me for pets i didnt even know were rare now. neon, mega, i had to google what half of it meant. i used to KNOW this game. i dont anymore. its not that its worse exactly, theres way more here, its just that the thing i loved was two kids swapping a dog for a cat and now its a market with a currency i cant read. logged off feeling weirdly homesick for a game im literally standing inside of.
