for years i told everyone i don't do horror. jumpscares, dark hallways, no thanks. then two friends dragged me into DOORS and refused to let me leave the lobby. first run i hid in a closet from Rush with my heart going a mile a minute, and when we actually made it a few doors deep i realized i was grinning under all the panic. turns out the fear is half the fun when you're doing it with people. now horror is one of my favorite genres and it started with one game i was too stubborn to try. moral of the story: give the thing you think you'll hate one honest chance. worst case you learn something about yourself, best case you find a whole new love.
