Mimic, özellikle okul bölümü olan Japon korku atmosferini mükemmel yakalıyor, aydınlatma ve kağıt fener görünümü gerçekten rahatsız edici ve notları okursanız hikaye gerçekten bir yere varıyor. Mimic'in kendisi harika bir tasarım. Benim için 4'e düşüren tek şey, iyi yavaş ilerleyen kısımlar arasındaki boşlukları doldurmak için birkaç ucuz, yüksek sesli sıçrama korkutmasına dayanması. Dread'e güvendiğinde 5 oluyor, yüksek sesle bir BOO için gidince gözlerimi devirdim. Buradaki en iyi hikaye korkularından biri hâlâ.

the mimic nails the japanese horror atmosphere, the school chapter especially, the lighting and the paper lantern look is genuinely unsettling and the lore actually goes somewhere if you read the notes. the mimic itself is a great design. only thing dropping it to a 4 for me is it leans on a few cheap loud jumpscares to pad the gaps between the good slow burn parts. when it trusts the dread its a 5, when it goes for a loud BOO i roll my eyes. still one of the better story horrors on here.
