blade ball came down to me and one other player last round, everyone else already knocked out, and the ball starts pinging back and forth between us. parry, parry, parry, the speed ramping up every single time. my heart was going so fast. we must have traded like fifteen deflects, way past the point where most rallies end, and the whole lobby that got knocked out earlier was spectating and spamming the chat. i finally mistimed one by a hair and got clipped. and honestly? i was grinning ear to ear. i typed gg that was insane and the other player went nah YOU were insane. we friended each other right after. no salt, just two people who both played their hearts out. thats exactly why i love competitive games, win or lose a good match is a good match.
