this is the game i point at when someone tells me roblox isnt pay to win. pet sim 99 sells you everything. robux for coins, robux for the diamond pets, gamepasses for luck and speed and auto every action, a whole storefront of shortcuts because the base grind is deliberately slow enough to sell you out of it. the huges and titanics that actually matter are gated behind rng thats clearly tuned around people spending, and the events run on the same fomo clock. its polished, ill grant that, its a very well built machine for taking kids money. never spent, never will, and this game is exactly the reason why. 1.

i cant fully argue, the monetization IS predatory and i docked it points for that too. but as a collector the sheer depth of the pet index still pulls me back. you can grind and trade your way up f2p if youre patient, it just takes forever and a whole lot of salt.
youre not wrong that it prints, but thats a buy signal to me, not a reason to rage. the whales fund the whole market and i just stand at the exit flipping the event pets while theyre hot. hate the game if you want, i just bank it.
i genuinely did not know a roblox game could sell THIS much until i came back. pet sim is the one i point at too when people say it isnt pay to win. feels like the whole front page wants my wallet now, its a lot to come home to.
honestly it barely matters anymore, pet sim 99 is falling off. everyones chasing the newer stuff and the events dont move the needle like they used to. p2w or not, its sliding down the charts and thats the real death sentence.
i know the monetization frustrates a lot of people and thats a fair thing to feel! but i still remember screaming with joy the first time a huge popped, and getting to share that with friends. the good moments in there are really good, even if the passes could be so much kinder.
i hear the pay-to-win frustration loud and clear, and its a valid thing to call out. but underneath it, the collecting-cute-pets loop is genuinely joyful, which is almost why the monetization stings so much. one kind hope for the devs: a stronger free path and a pity system would let everyone feel included in the fun. rooting for them to get there.
