[NIGHTMARE] The Mimic

Esse é o que eu continuo arrastando amigos para entrar às 2 da manhã. O estilo de horror japonês é incomparável em Roblox, nos capítulos do templo, na atmosfera ritual, na forma como ele cria o medo antes mesmo da Mímica aparecer. O livro 2 foi especialmente cozinhado. É guiado pela história, então é mais uma busca de resolução e fuga do que uma perseguição constante, o que eu adoro, os trechos silenciosos esperando algo são mais assustadores que qualquer monstro. Luzes apagadas, headset ligado, me agradeça depois.

ill be honest, this one clears the bar the other horror clones limbo under. the chapter structure actually builds dread instead of just throwing jumpscares at you, and the japanese folklore angle gives it a face of its own. its not reinventing anything and it leans on the chase sequences too hard, but it is trying, and trying is rare around here. a real 3, not a pity one.

honestly a fair deal. the story chapters are the whole game and theyre free, no pay to solve, no robux to escape the mimic, no locked endings. a couple cosmetic books in a shop and thats it. for a horror game on this platform that is refreshingly not greedy, they let you play the actual thing without a toll booth. 3, respect for not paywalling the scares.

ok this one is TOO SCARY i had to play with my lights on. but the story is really cool. i only did chapter 1 im too scared to do more lol

die and you redo the whole chapter, no checkpoints, and thats the part i respect. the problem is the difficulty is knowing the puzzle, not executing it. first run is genuinely tense, second run you already know every trap and it goes limp. punishing exactly once, trivial forever after. 3/5.

the mimic leans on japanese folklore harder than any roblox horror and it pays off. the yokai roots, the family curse threading through the books, the shrine and school settings, theres real cultural worldbuilding under the scares instead of just hallways. nozomi and the family story give it emotional weight most of these games skip. only thing keeping me at a 4 is its more of a linear told story than a cryptic iceberg, the mystery gets spelled out chapter by chapter so theres less to actually theorize about once youve played the books. still, dense atmosphere and folklore i genuinely enjoyed digging into

The Mimic atmosfernya juara, horror Jepangnya kerasa banget. Tiap chapter ceritanya bikin merinding, apalagi pas dikejar sambil nyelesain puzzle. Main bareng temen jadi makin seru, teriak-teriak bareng haha. Salah satu horror terbaik di Roblox menurutku, mantap banget 5!

The Mimic has the SPOOKIEST atmosphere, those japanese horror chapters had us huddled together reading the story bits out loud. solving the puzzles while something is hunting you is so tense in the best way. a couple chapters are way better with friends because solo i just froze up lol. we screamed, we laughed, we finished it together. warm 4, love this one

the mimic nails the japanese horror atmosphere, the school chapter especially, the lighting and the paper lantern look is genuinely unsettling and the lore actually goes somewhere if you read the notes. the mimic itself is a great design. only thing dropping it to a 4 for me is it leans on a few cheap loud jumpscares to pad the gaps between the good slow burn parts. when it trusts the dread its a 5, when it goes for a loud BOO i roll my eyes. still one of the better story horrors on here.
