the original garden and honestly still a lovely time. same soothing plant-grow-sell rhythm that eats hours before you notice. gives me that satisfying watching-the-money-climb feeling every session. the sequel does a little more these days so this one feels slightly dated by comparison, but for a calm farming session it totally holds up. go sell those crops.

the core gameplay is waiting. you plant something, close the app, come back later, sell it. thats not a game, its a timer with extra steps. i know its a phenomenon and i know im the minority here, but honestly, what are we doing. one star, and thats for the plants looking nice.

coming from bee swarm this scratches the exact same itch. the economy has real depth once you stop selling everything raw and start holding for mutation events, thats where the actual money is. tip for new farmers: dont blow your first cash on cosmetic gear, reinvest into seed tiers and expand your plot early, the compounding is everything. plan your planting around the weather events, theyre the heart of the game. ive put embarrassing hours in and still love the loop. 5 stars easily.

ill give the original its due, you genuinely can play this f2p, the trading economy lets you earn just about everything, and a patient player keeps up fine. the ding is that robux-for-sheckles and the premium seed packs still buy a real head start, and the loop is clearly built to keep nudging you toward the shop. more fair than most farm sims ive torn into, just not as clean as it likes to pretend. a fair 3.

dont sleep on the collection here. every crop, the mutation variants, the weather event ones, the pets, theres a genuine index to fill and its bigger than it looks. i like that leaving it running still nudges the checklist forward. knocks a point because some of the best seeds and gear are paid and a chunk of the loop is waiting, not doing. but as a long haul list to complete its way more content than people give it credit for. 4.

i really want to love this because planting seeds and watching them grow is exactly my speed. but the constant limited weather events and everyone scrambling for the rare stock kind of breaks the calm for me. when its just me watering my little plot its perfect. when the timer pressure kicks in my shoulders tense up. gentle 3, i still hop on but i have to mute the noise.
