the pizza place is the only game that never lied to me
i've got games in my history with thousands of hours that i couldn't tell you a single fond memory from. and then there's work at a pizza place, where i've quietly spent some of my calmest, happiest hours since the tix days. here's the thing you younger players won't get — this game came out in 2008 and it is essentially the same game today, and that is a COMPLIMENT. nobody bolted a battle pass onto it. nobody added a spin-the-wheel that begs for your robux every time you log in. you show up, you take the oven station because it's the best one and i WILL fight you for it, you box the pizzas, do a delivery run, cash your paycheck, and go decorate your little house. that's the whole loop and it's perfect. i used to play this back when guests were still wandering around the servers. all these years later it's still my comfort spot. they just don't make them this patient anymore.
