the trusted mm scam that almost cost me a halo

so i middleman a lot, people trust me to hold items on cross trades so nobody gets robbed. which means scammers LOVE pretending to be me.

last week two people were doing a big halo for set trade and asked me to mm. we agree, im holding. then a third account slides into the dm with a username one underscore off from mine, same display pic, telling one of them to send the halo to THAT account instead because im supposedly afk. classic impersonation. dude almost sent a valentines halo, like a year of saving, to a fake me.

i caught it because i always drop a code word in the trade before anyone sends anything, and the fake couldnt repeat it. that one habit saved a halo worth more than most peoples entire inventory.

three rules if you ever use a middleman. one, agree on a code word up front and never skip it. two, check the exact username letter by letter, scammers use underscores and a capital i vs a lowercase L to fake it. three, a real mm never rushes you and never asks you to send outside whats agreed. the royale high market is the best on roblox but its full of sharks wearing my face. slow trades are safe trades.
