a little defense of adopt me, for everyone who calls it pay to win
i keep seeing people dunk on adopt me, calling it pay to win and pure greed, and i just want to gently offer another way to look at it.
yes, some pets cost robux. but ive been playing without spending real money and i have a neon pet i love, because the trading community will honestly help you get there if youre kind and patient. i started with one little pet and traded up, and every step of the way someone older or richer in game was rooting for me, teaching me values, sometimes throwing in an extra pet just to be nice. that happened over and over and over.
the critics see a price tag. i see millions of kids learning to trade fairly, to be patient, to make a friend across the world over a silly pixel dog. that is not nothing! no game is perfect and sure, the pressure to buy is real. but the actual heart of adopt me is a bunch of people being generous to total strangers for no reason at all. i think that deserves a little defense before we call it soulless. theres so much good in here if you just look for it.
