as someone learning to build systems this is a physics playground i keep coming back to. its all real physics, every block has mass, the aerodynamics actually matter, you weld parts, wire up motors, hinges, pistons and thrusters, then fly or drive the thing you built. the constraint system is genuinely well thought out, build a real plane with proper control surfaces if you get lift, or bolt a jet to a chair and yeet yourself, both valid. it rewards understanding the sim instead of hiding it. optimized? no, big part-count builds chug and the physics jitter and desync when welds get complex, i notice that stuff, but for what its simulating live i forgive it. clever systems design i want to make one day. favorited, easy.

Plane Crazy is a creative physics sandbox and that's exactly my problem with it as a runner. I tried treating build challenges like timed runs and the physics simply won't hand you the same result twice, the identical throttle input can send a build wobbling a different way every attempt. For a speedrun mindset that's a dealbreaker, consistency is the entire discipline and this engine is chaotic on purpose. It's genuinely impressive as a builder and flying a contraption you made yourself is a good time, but nothing here is optimizable in the run sense. Want to route and grind PBs? Not this. Want to mess with physics and build? Great. A middle 3 from the runner's chair.
plane crazy is a builders dream come true. blocks, parts, servos, even logic gates if you wanna go deep, and then you actually get to fly the thing you welded together. watching your own plane leave the runway for the first time genuinely never gets old, i promise. the fact that the physics hold steady while youre bolting a hundred parts on is seriously impressive engineering by the devs. i just sit here and tinker for hours, its the most peaceful thing i do all week
plane crazy scratches the engineer itch so well. you build vehicles and planes out of blocks and parts and then actually fly or drive whatever you made, and that first moment your janky little plane actually lifts off the ground is SO rewarding. theres a bit of a learning curve to the parts and the physics, but the community shares builds and tips constantly so youre never stuck for long. ive learned so much just tinkering around. 4 stars, love the creativity here
Leuk om zelf vliegtuigen te bouwen met alle blokjes. De physics zijn vet, soms crasht je toestel op de gekste manieren haha. Even wennen maar echt creatief. Toppie sandbox
