our little family saga in Berry Avenue

for a few weeks now a handful of us regulars have been running an ongoing family story in Berry Avenue, and it's quietly become the highlight of my week. it started simple, a couple playing parents, me as the eldest kid, a few others as siblings and friends. but week by week we've added plot, a new baby character joined, someone's character landed a dream job, we threw a whole birthday party scene with decorations and outfit codes to match the theme. what amazes me is how much everyone cares about keeping it consistent, people remember last week's little details and build on them. the outfit codes let each character have a real signature look, which makes it feel like a proper cast. i love that a game just hands you the tools, a cozy house, custom fits, a whole town, and then steps back and lets a bunch of imaginative people build something warm together. this community's creativity honestly astounds me. already counting down to next week's chapter.
