movement fine and aim ok is a wild way to describe the cleanest shooter on the platform. its samey to you because youre not climbing, at high elo the movement tech IS the entire skill gap. play ranked seriously for a week before you call it another arena shooter.

aim feels ok is a skill issue take. the ttk and movement ceiling in rivals are the highest in the genre, thats not nothing. not reinventing the wheel doesnt mean the wheel isnt tuned way better than the other ten.

i think clean and fun is genuinely a compliment though! not every shooter has to reinvent the wheel, sometimes movement that feels good and gunplay that just works is exactly enough to have a great time. competent with heart is still a win in my book!

i get the fatigue, there really are a lot of arena shooters out there right now. but for me rivals nails the fundamentals so cleanly that i dont mind it isnt reinventing the wheel, the movement and gunplay just feel great every match. no worries if its not your thing though, gg all the same.
