Apocalypse Rising 2 absolutely nails the feeling of a world that already ended, the fog, the gutted towns, the held breath when you loot a building not knowing if another survivor is already inside. As a survival looter it delivers. But for someone who shows up for the lore, there just isn't much beneath the surface, it's atmosphere without a narrative, you scavenge and you PvP and that's the loop. The world gestures at a collapse and then never tells you a single thing about how or why. A neutral 3, it's good at exactly what it sets out to be, it just isn't the deep-mystery survival I chase.

this is the one im adding because its everything i want as a community organizer. open world zombie survival where you scavenge gear, build bases and survive together, and it is SO much better with an organized group. we run squad looting runs, coordinate base defense, assign roles, its basically a clan simulator. the tension of a group raid or holding your base down against players AND zombies creates the exact team memories that keep a community glued together. one of the best games out there for organized clans, if youre building a group play this. 5/5

great survival looter, useless for my lifestyle. you cant afk 30 seconds before a zombie horde or a geared player wipes everything you scavenged, and theres no offline progress at all. the loot-and-build loop is solid, its just punishingly active, cant macro it, die once and youre back to zero. my 2 is purely on afk value.
