brookhaven is the only game i can fully relax in as a colorblind player
people ask why a colorblind player has a chill town game as their most played, and the honest answer is that its the only place i never have to translate.
in most games im doing constant background math. is that teammate red or green. is that the rare drop or the common one. is the danger tile the maroon one or the olive one. i lose to color long before i ever lose to skill. brookhaven asks none of that. i drive, i pick a house, i decorate, i roleplay a little, and not one single system gates me behind a hue i cant see.
thats the thing people miss about accessibility. its not always a special mode buried three menus deep in settings. sometimes its just a game that never assumed perfect eyes in the first place. brookhaven is low stakes by design and that low pressure IS the accessibility for me. i can log in exhausted and just exist. every dev chasing the next sweaty color coded meta should study why this relaxed little town is quietly the safest game on the whole platform for people like me.
