anime vanguards is my favorite kind of comfort game, anime tower defense where you roll for units and place them to clear the waves. not gonna lie the gacha rolling is addictive in the fun way, that moment the screen flashes for a secret unit and you lose your mind is unmatched. the units are all cute anime homages and building the perfect team to melt a boss wave is so satisfying. events keep it fresh and there is always a new banner to chase. yeah there is some luck and banner fomo, but you can absolutely have a blast without spending, i mostly just enjoy the grind with friends. so much passion in this one. 5/5
