a dusty trip was EVERYWHERE in 2024. the busted car road trip survival, keep the thing running, scavenge fuel, dont die in the wasteland, genuinely a top tier viral hit at the time. but its cooling now, like 12k and sliding. still fun if you get a good squad but its past the peak and the trend already moved on to the next thing. 3.

Most people load into a dusty trip for the co-op comedy of nursing a dying car across the wasteland, and that loop genuinely rips, scavenge fuel, patch the engine, ration water, survive to the end of the road. But I'm here for what the world implies and never says. It's a post-apocalypse that flat out refuses to explain its own apocalypse. The bunker, the endless dead desert, the scattered leftover supplies, it's all environmental storytelling and it lands. My only real knock is that the lore lives entirely in the set dressing, there's no deeper layer to actually excavate, no notes, no decodable mystery. Fantastic atmosphere, light on buried secrets. A 4 for the mood alone.
ran this as a squad night and it was some of the best co op weve had. keeping the bus running, splitting scavenging duties for fuel and supplies, one person driving while others watch for trouble, it FORCES teamplay and communication in the best way. the shared panic when the car dies at night is peak bonding. only knock for a clan my size is the small player cap, its built for a squad not a 200 member event, so we run it in shifts. incredible small group game. 4/5
co op survival so theres nothing for the competitive side here, im grading it for what it is. keeping the bus running and rationing fuel across the wasteland creates real shared tension and thats the draw. netcode holds up with a full car of players which matters for a co op title. no PvP, no ranking, so from my lens theres nothing to optimize or compete over. well built co op loop, just not my arena. 3
Mate a dusty trip is unreal. You're just piling into a van with ya mates driving through the wasteland, scroungin for fuel and supplies, and it gets heaps tense when the tank's low. The bunker update is grouse too. Reckon it's one of the best survival games goin round, love it aye.
