the day i finally FC'd a song online

i full combo songs in solo practice all the time, thats never been the hard part. my real boss was landing an FC online, where the input latency actually fights you. heres the thing about the netcode, going against a live opponent adds delay, so a pattern i can hit blindfolded in practice suddenly registers a few ms late and snaps my combo on note 200 of 220. i spent probably two weeks on one song. what finally worked was i stopped reacting to the visual and started playing purely off the audio and muscle memory, pre empting every note slightly early to eat the latency. when the FC screen finally popped online i actually yelled out loud. thats the difference between a rhythm player and a masher, we feel every single millisecond of delay and we route around it. tighten the netcode devs, but honestly, chasing that FC through the latency was the most satisfying grind ive done on roblox.
