coming home to a town that never changed

i took a long break from roblox, life got busy, and the game i was most nervous to reopen was brookhaven, because usually the ones you love get all changed up and monetized while youre gone. loaded in and... it was just brookhaven. same cozy little town, same houses to pick and decorate, same cars to cruise around in for no reason at all. i spent a whole hour just redoing my house and driving to the gas station and back like it was 2020 again. found a couple new house options and got weirdly excited over a kitchen layout. no one was trying to sell me anything, no timer counting down, just a place to be. i think i forgot games could feel this gentle. so grateful its still standing exactly how i remembered, waiting for me. felt like coming home.
