climbing the blade ball ladder is a mental game, not a reaction test
everyone thinks blade ball is pure reaction speed. its not. past the low ranks everyone can parry a straight ball, so climbing turns into a mind game about breaking their timing.
what changed my climb was learning to hold my deflect a split second longer than feels natural. people spam-parry on reflex, so if you delay just barely they whiff and eat the ball. i also dropped the flashy abilities for something that buys me reaction time instead. boring, but it wins.
the sweat at the top is unreal. every match is people who have clearly grinded thousands of rounds and one misread ends you instantly. i went on a 12 loss streak at one point and had to log off before i tilted into oblivion. but grinding back up and cracking my rank ceiling felt so good. if youre stuck, stop blaming the abilities and start reading how the ball speeds up each pass. read the tempo, not the ball. thats the whole game.
