astd is the one anime td where the trade scene actually matters and thats exactly why i added it. exclusive banner units are the currency here, a clean shiny meta unit holds demand for months and theres always someone completing a lineup who needs your exact one. i flip evo mats and low demand 5 stars for the units that actually carry infinite mode, and the demand lists move enough that a patient trader eats every week. summon rates are brutal but thats the whole point, if everyone had the good units theyd be worth nothing. real economy, real liquidity, and units hold value across updates way better than any sim. cleanest anime td market going, its still very much alive.

content volume is the selling point. the unit dex is enormous and theres a real amount of stages, modes and challenge content to clear, which i appreciate as someone chasing a completion goal. building the meta team and optimizing placement and dps actually takes knowledge. the catch is the top units are banner locked so completing the roster leans on pull rng. still, of the anime collectathons this has the most actual content to work through. solid 4, just fight the gacha for the top tier.

ill give it credit, the anime unit roster is huge and placing your favorites to clear waves is satisfying. but lets be real its a banner sim now, the meta units are locked behind pulls and the drop rng is brutal. i burned way too much chasing one unit. the tower defense itself is solid, its the gacha that drags it down. get lucky early and its great, if not youre farming forever.
